BRASS COMMITTEE

 

The Brass Committee works to keep items on and around our church altar clean and shined.

 

INSTRUCTIONS 

POLISH:  

1. Processional Cross

2. Missal Stand

 

WASH:

1. Processional Candle Holders (2)

 

WASH – POLISH IF NECESSARY:   

1.      Flower Vases (2 sets)

2.      Candle Snuffers -  Replace wicks if necessary.

3.      Brass Alms Basin

 

DUST – POLISH OCCASIONALLY:

1.      Altar Cross and Base

2.      Candle Holders on Altar and floor

 

DUST:

Altar front, chairs, pulpit, lectern, names plates, etc.

 

Notes: 

* Do not polish Paschal candle  - Dust only

* The new 6 ft. candle lighter/extinguisher is lacquered and cannot be polished.

* Please take care not to let Brasso get under the altar candles as it stains the linens.

 * Polish is kept in the Sacristry

 * Please keep polish rags off linens, carpets, wood surfaces

 * Remember to relock what you have unlocked

 * Please initial the schedule when you polish
