Ministries and specific committees are a little hard to tease apart from one another. Much of our work can be found on our Committees page!
Following its Summer, 2010 retreat, the Vestry has developed 3 new ministry “teams” to address what they determined are currently the most important areas of focus for our parish. View their pages by clicking on their names below:
The following are additional ministries to the church and the community:
Vestry: The elected governing board of our parish.
Safeguarding God’s Children: A program educating our parishioners about the dangers of abuse in the church setting and how to best interact with children to protect their rights.
Monthly Ministry Teams : These teams serve those with unanticipated difficulties (e.g., serious illness, death in the family) with meals and support. Also serve shut-ins and newcomers with visits and small gifts/snacks.
Osman Hope: Our church is very involved with this program. We have a few regular parishioners who make an annual journey to Honduras to assist with Osman Hope. We encourage more parishioners to become involved! This link takes you to the organization’s own website.
KCMC: We partner with multiple other area churches to offer assistance to those in need of rent, utilities, or medicine.
Meals on Wheels (MOW): We help prepare and deliver meals to shut-ins every Sunday and one Tuesday each month.
