Tuesday Meals on Wheels

Assist with cooking and delivering meals to the homebound one Tuesday per month (as part of the Kingsport Meals on Wheels schedule)

Our team serves the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 8:15 am; meets at First Presbyterian Church’s kitchen.

Oncology Project

Provide comfort and prayers for those undergoing cancer treatment as well as their families.

October is our Oncology month – watch the calendar.

Food Pantry

Collect, organize, and distribute food to those struggling to feed themselves and their families in our community.

Food Pantry bags food on Saturdays and distributes on Wednesday mornings.

Panera Bread Collection for Food Pantry

Collect unsold bread from Panera to distribute to the hungry who come to our Food Pantry.

Collection occurs regularly each week.

Tutor Time

Assist struggling students, Kindergarten – high school, with free tutoring.

Thursdays during the school year, 4-6 pm.

Annual Christmas Dinner

Feed the hungry and cheer the lonely who come to our church on Christmas Day for dinner and fellowship.

Watch for a call for group leaders a few months prior to December. Volunteers for all aspects of the dinner will be needed.

Support of Osman Hope Ministry to Honduran Children Financially support the Osman Hope ministry and participate in missions to Honduras to continue the work of Osman Hope. Parishioners typically take one annual trip to Honduras per year.

  1. I suggest including “Support of Osman Hope Ministry to Honduran children” as an Outreach topic for this sesction. Osman Hope received $2700 from the profits of the St. Paul’s Bazaar, and several parishioners are active supporters of this ministry. Osman Hope established four day shelters in San Pedro Sula for “street children”or “latch key” children who had no adult supervision for the half day or more they were not in school. Most receive breakfast and lunch on weekdays.
