Daughters of the King
The order of the Daughter of the King is an international religious order for women who are communicants of the Episcopal Church or Churches in Communion with it. The purpose of the group is to bring others into a living, loving relationship with Jesus and to help strengthen the spiritual life of our parish. We wear our crosses daily as an outward and visible sign that we need Christ in our lives and that we seek to serve him in all that we say and do. Each daughter takes a lifetime vow to live by the Rule of the Order and the Rule of Life – a spiritual discipline of daily prayer, service, and evangelism.
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings at 6:30.

More About DOK
Purpose
The Order of the Daughters of the King, Inc., was founded in the Episcopal Church in 1885.
Our founder, Margaret J. Franklin, envisioned the mission of the order to be the extension of Christ’s Kingdom through prayer, service, and evangelism. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, our current vision as Daughters of the King is to know Jesus Chrsit, to make Him known to others, and to become reflections of God’s love throughout the world.
Rule of Life
Daughters of the King, in a lifetime vow, pledge to undertake a spiritual discipline that incorporates a Rule of Life through the Rule of Prayer and the Rule of Service.
Our Rule of Prayer lifetime vow is fulfilled by praying daily for: unity in Christ’s Church; the spread of Christ’s Kingdom; God’s blessings on members of the Order; spiritual growth of the parish; and guidance from the Holy Spirit for clergy.
The Rule of Service is the application of one’s baptismal vow lived through: faithful efforts for the extension of His Kingdom; participation in worship and study; and assistance to the clergy in the work of the Church.
