For Greeters: Important message re: expansion of Greeter duties (posted 9/25/10):

Greeters, your role in welcoming our members and visitors is so important, and we really appreciate your willingness to be a part of this ministry. The New Member Ministry Team, formed as a result of the Vestry workshop in early August, would like to have someone that will invite and personally escort visitors after the service to the coffee hour, talk to them there, and introduce them to other parishioners. Rather than have a separate person for this, we are hoping the greeters will be willing to expand their role to encompass this new approach. We are trying to make St. Paul’s as welcoming and visitor friendly as possible, and the leader of our workshop stressed how important it is to walk with guests to coffee hour, etc. If for some reason you would not be able to serve in this capacity after church, please send a note back to Tina Snyder (ricktinasnyder@charter.net )letting her know, so we can get someone else for this part the Sunday you serve. Otherwise, we’ll begin this expanded role immediately. Again, thank you for your part in making St. Paul’s a friendly, welcoming church to all.
