Meals on Wheels!

St. Paul’s is happy to contribute time and talent toward cooking and delivering meals to the homebound.

We have a group that cooks for MOW the 3rd Tuesday of every month at First Presbyterian Church, as well as weekly cooking and delivery each Sunday from St. Paul’s.

Tuesday Meals on Wheels

A little known but valuable outreach ministry of St. Paul’s is our monthly cooking program for Kingsport Meals on Wheels. Four parishioners meet at the Presbyterian Church kitchen on the 3rd Tuesday of each month to prepare about 150 meals to be delivered to needy families. The year 2011 marks our 10th anniversary for this ministry, and during this time, we have met on 130 Tuesdays and prepared some 19,000 meals. It’s very rewarding and satisfying to prepare hot, nutritious meals to feed those in need.

Our group consists of 3 teams of 4 people each with each team serving 4 times per year. It takes about 2 hours to prepare the 150 meals. We are led by Sherie Spencer, of course, and she plans the meals and supervises the cooking. Our 2011 team members are:
