  • Lectio Divina Bible Study

2:00 - 3:00 PM Wednesdays in Kent Room

This gathering combines the spiritual discipline of Lectio Divina together with a close reading and study of scripture. I am eager to continue this class, not only in response to the interest of the parish, but also for my own need to cultivate a deeper relationship with our Holy Scriptures. I have found Lectio Divina to be fruitful in my sermon preparation and personal discipline, and I hope it will be for you.

If you are interested in learning more about Lectio Divina, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has a good summary on this website under the section heading "How do I pray with Sacred Scripture?"

I hope to see you there!
    Father Johnny

  • Armchair Theologians Group

Wednesdays at 7 PM in Kent Room

In this reading and discussion group, we will dive a bit deeper into some tough issues and how our faith might lead us to think about and respond to the complexity of life. The motto for this group will be "curiosity first." Come with an open mind and willingness to be challenged.

We are now studying Her Gates Will Never Be Shut (Hope, Hell, and the New Jerusalem) by Bradley Jersak.. Bring a snack and/or beverage to share as we gather in the Kent Room for this new venture in formation.
