Who is the community at St. Paul’s?

OPEN

We welcome open dialogue and invite everyone – lifelong believers in Christ, newcomers, and wonderers – to know and grow in God’s love.

We are open to being moved by the Holy Spirit in unimagined directions as we join with our members, friends, and neighbors in witnessing to God’s present Kingdom in Kingsport.

We are open to the presence of Christ in both friend and stranger, as we encounter one another in worship, fellowship, and outreach ministries.

CARING

We minister to Christ in both friend and stranger through loving service and generous giving.

We care for one another through fellowship, pastoral presence, and growth in loving relationships as we share our life together in the Spirit.

We care about the worship of our Creator and the world which God has made, witnessed in our regular gathering for services of Word and Sacrament.

SERVING

We grow in the love of God by nurturing faith, community, and friendships through worship of God, study of God’s Word, and fellowship in the Spirit.

We experience the love of God as we open our everyday lives to one another, expressing diverse gifts and identities that make up the one body with many members.

We express the love of God in Christ by service to one another and our neighbors.
